    Hi everyone, I was also looking for a EDTA alternative and found all the information here. I tried using the Dissolvin GL into my Hair Gel but it is all watery. I am using cabomer to do my hair gel. Should i in cooperate this Dissolvin with something else or with a solublizer?

    Thank you!

    @mktan54:

    You must first add the Dissolvine GL to room temperature water and stir well to incorporate.  Dissolvine GL is usually the first ingredient that I add to the water phase when using it in a formulation.

    @mktan54:

    You might consider using a different gelling agent or thickener if your gel is still watery.  What Carbomer are you using and what are you using to activate it?

    @MarkBroussard
    I am using Cabopol 940, using Sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Because client want to eliminate Triethanolamine.

    @mktan54:

    It sounds as though you simply are not adding enough Carbomer 940 to make the gel.

    @Chemist77

    To replace Teriethanoalmine? Yes i am trying it now. But due to cost, we prefer to stick to NaOH unless we have no other choice. :(

    Can Dissolvine® GL be used in mouthwashes?

    If Dissolvine® GL cannot be used in mouthwashes what is an alternative to EDTA or Natrlquest E30 for mouthwashes?  We tried switching to Natrlquest E30 however it attacked our blue dye over time.
