Hello, I’m creating a nipple balm for breastfeeding and I’m having some trouble getting a consistent texture. The ingredients are 30ml jojoba oil (infused with calendula and mushroom), 5ml beeswax, 5ml mango butter. I’m pouring the balm in 1oz jars. I’ve tried cooling before pour, keeping the mixture hot while pouring, melting at different temperatures and then adding ingredients at different temps. Every time it turns out hard on top where it need to apply heavy pressure to break up the mixture when I’m trying to keep it like vaseline - very soft but not runny. Every once in a while I’ll get it right but I have NO IDEA what I’m doing differently. I’m 95% on the ingredient mixture as I have tried almost every other combination there of.

    Any help here?

It sounds like a process problem. How exactly are you combining these ingredients and at what temperature?

If you whip it with a stick blender as its cooling it should have a nice soft texture after it cools completely.
