    Hi,
Lubrizol have only one distributor in my region. I got a sample for aqua 30 polymer from them. They are bargaining and not revealing actual price. First they quoted around 8 USD for one litter aqua 30. I also contacted Lubrizol company directly, but they said they do not supply directctly to customer. Lubrizol claims its a cost effective solution, but this price isn’t. It just doubles the manufracturing cost.
Please let me know the price in your region for Aqua 30 polymer, and carbopol 940.
    Thank you.

Pricing for raw materials is typically kept secret until you make a purchase. At least for bigger order sizes. The companies also negotiate with manufacturers on a case-by-case basis so you can’t really compare pricing based on region. Pricing is based on volume and expected volume.

In my region there is a Lubrizol distributor with smaller pack sizes.

    Carbopol 940 - 100g for 3.00 USD

I dont see the Aqua 30 Polymer listed

You will often find that when you purchase small quantities the price is significantly higher than if you purchase large quantities.
If you buy small quantities from a reseller the resellers will buy a larger quantity from the distributor and repack it. You will pay more to cover the extra packaging, time taken to repack plus the repackers profit. I generally find this is usually at least double the cost compared to purchasing larger/drum quantities.
The cost of shipping also comes into play. In most circumstances it costs the same to ship a pallet containing four drums as it does to ship one drum on a pallet. Many products sold commercially include delivery so that shipping cost is lower per drum if you can purchase full pallets of products.
Your location also can mean higher prices. If your product is shipped a long distance this will increase prices. I have in the past paid double the price to have a product shipped in by air with a two week lead time rather than wait 14 to 16 weeks for sea delivery.

If I compare a 10 g package from a reseller or buying 10 kg directly, the price for those 1’000 times heavier package may be less than 100 times the price.
There’s often a considerable drop in price per gram when going from 10 to 100 to 1’000 grams too.
