  • Can i mix CMI MI with glycerin before adding to final product?

    To add CMI MI into an emulsion which is a bit thick at cool down stage, is it ok to first mix CMI MI with some glycerin and then add to emulsion?

    This is to be sure that it mixes properly and easily with all emulsion.

    Doubt a concern unless you plan to hold it.

        CMIT is stabilized with a Mg salt - if diluted and held in water, CMIT is unstable as the Mg salt is diluted. I don’t know if the same happens in another polar solvent like a glycerol. If you have analytical of micro capabilities - you can check. Otherwise contact the folks at Arxada and ask.
