Calcium-bridged fatty acids from SLS on hair

Are these Calcium-bridged fatty acids beneficial and have conditioning effect on hair or they are bad for hair like Soap scum?

They have a detrimental effect on hair, that’s one of the reasons why we use chelants. Take a look at this article: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acsabm.8b00386
