The good scent company sells furoates (furan esters), I think they are used for scent. However, these are methyl Furoate and ethyl Furoate, so much smaller molecules. C12 - C15 benzoates are sold as emollients and anybody in this forum is far more of an expert about it than I am. What I do know is that the Hansen Solubility Parameters of these C12-C15 benzoates and those of C12-C15 furoates is very close, with the furoates being more polar, less viscous and a little more fragrant.
I am not from this field and don’t want to impose anything. I have a small company that found a way to make these furoates from natural products. We are making a variety of furoates but the C12-C15 range is very easy to make. I am just trying to see if anyone here is using benzoates and would be interested in trying these furoates in their formulations.
