Hello can someone tell me if C12-15 alkyl benzoate consider “Oil Free”?

Can you send me a certificate for that?

    Thanks

    1) It all depends on how you define “Oil”.

    2) No.

From my basic knowledge what I have seen is that certain products claimed oil free when they skipped mineral oil, oblivious to any such certificate though.

Most of the formulas I see that are advertised as oil free refer to vegetable oils.

given that it mixes quite freely with oils, I don’t think you could claim that it’s genuinely oil-free

not with a straight face, anyway

    Thanks for the answers.

I’m looking for the claim “Oil Free” in a sunscreen cream.

The thing is that you need “Oil” to solubilize the Avobenzone & Benzophenone 3.

I have a formulation that passed al tests for “Broad Spectrum SPF 50+”,

and now they looking for “Oil Free” Claim on the label…..

Chemist77 , Bill_Toge  thanks, I think I’ll go with your answer and try to pass it.
