  Borax and Beeswax

  Has anybody ever had any luck in finding a suitable replacement for Borax in a traditional Borax/ Beeswax system? I have tried other bases such as TEA but it significantly effects the firmness of the formula. I don’t like the Beeswax/ Borax system but it is so cheap. Thanks.

  I’ve heard that AMPD is an acceptable substitute:

  Try Lecithin.
