Best mild preservatives for water based systems
Would like to ask for recommendations for mild preservatives for water based products like body spritz, floral water concoctions etc. I am currently using leucidal. The benefit of leucidal is that I can apply it at 100% strength without irritation or any skin reaction. It also doesn’t affect hair quality when used in water based hair mists. But its not reliable and it requires 4% which makes it difficult to formulate.

Parabens are the best mild preservative for leave on products

Leucidal is not an effective preservative and spray products need effective preservatives due to inhalation exposure.
