    Hi,

im using 2.5% BP gel (pH about 5.5) for treating acne (Ingredients are: 2.5% BP, water, butylene glycol, carbomer, potassium sorbate, phenoxyethanol, diazolidinyl urea, sodium hydroxide) but im very sensitive to BP (drying, irritation, burning and peel). I was thinking if adding/creating new formulation with panthenol, alpha-tocopherol, allantoin, glycerin, green tea extract, licorice, passion flower extract, witch hazel extract and hyaluronic acid could reduce the side effects but at the same time to maintain the BP proprties and efficiency. I mean if there is not any kind of distraction among these substances. I also heard about micronized benzoyl peroxide that should not cause so strong side effects but im from Europe and there is not any kind of product with this new BP micro sized form (both over the counter products and on prescription).

Thank you for your thoughts and advice.

Since you’re in Europe and not subject to the dead hand of the FDA, I suggest you investigate alternatives to the incredibly old fashioned BP. Think along the lines of:
    Reduce sebum production (Sebaryl extract)
    Stop inflammation (100% aloe base)
Kill the bacteria (essential oils, Thyme extract)
    Heal the lesions (plant extracts)
