Greetings, Im making a liquid soap mainly with neutralized benzenesulfonic acid (10%-20%), but i cant reach mi desire viscosity, im adding SLES and cocoamido propylbetaine with salt to the mix in volumes 3:1 of sles/cocoamido but nothing happends, plus im getting 2 problems, first i cant get a clearly solution, second sles/cocoamido gets thick but with 8%of salt, and when i add 2% or more of sulphonic acid the mix lose the thickness.
Am i doing something worng?, im trying to emulate a comercial formula that saids it have those componets.

All I can say is that I’ve never gotten anything like this to work.

I remember seeing an old dishwashing liquid formulation with similar raw materials but I think it contained less benzene sulphonic acid (maybe 5 - 10%) and also had cocamide DEA.

Try looking for dishwashing liquid formulas.

Just offhand, potassium oleate has worked quite well for me in the past to thicken clear liquid soap. It does restrict you to higher pH levels though.
