As a conditioner for hair and an emulsifier for skin lotion, what are the pros and cons of these two cationic surfactants compatibility?

Some datas online shows BAPDMA is better than BTMC is every aspect, no comparison i have seen shows BTMC is better than BAPDMA. And it is also much cheaper than BTMC.
The i ask myself if BAPDMA is better and cheaper than BTMC, why is it not more popular and is not used more compared to BTMC.

So my question: what are the pros and cons of these two behenyl cationic surfactants as a hair conditioning ingredient and as an emulsifier for skin lotion?

My guess is because it doesn’t really work that much better.
As far as pricing goes, it’s likely that big companies can get a better price on BTMC than on BAPDMA.  The reason small resellers can’t is because all the big companies buy all BTMC & they ignore the BAPDMA.
