    Dear Madam/Respected Sir,

    we are planning to launch an organic/natural hair care and skin care products production.

    interested in formulations with high contents of beekeeping products - honey, beeswax, propolis, pollen.

    taking
    in mind our specific requirements, we would like to find a
    formulation/processing development service provider with extensive
    successful experience in “bee cosmetics”.

    do You have experience with “bee cosmetics”?

    thank you in advance for your kind reply,

    best regards,

    Andis Andrusko,

    Burt’s Bees has the bee cosmetics market pretty much sewn up http://www.burtsbees.com/

    Are you looking for someone to produce look-alikes for these or to venture into new areas? If the former then you need a formulator who is able to interpret the LOI into a practical formulation. If the latter you need an innovation chemist able to formulate new and interesting products - these are few in number and, bear in mind, any market for these products is likely to be quite small.

    My name is Emily Flemer and I am the New Business & Client Support Specialist for Debut Development, LLC. We are a small (5,000 units or less), OTC certified manufacturer in Florida and have been in business for approximately 2 years.

    Debut Development focuses on helping start-ups or existing companies bring new products to market. We are uniquely positioned for the challenges of a new brand or product launch that the ‘big boys’ might not want to tackle because we target clients who produce 5,000 units or less. Perhaps our most unique ability is being able to make trial runs or samples for a tradeshow, with no minimums including professional label printing. Our minimum charge for our production line is only $300 and we can tailor a plan to fit any budget and production need. We are able to provide exceptional customer service with one-on-one personal consultations to determine customer needs and help meet their goals. Understanding the challenges of new product development, we have a cosmetic chemist on staff to assist with formulations and scale up as needed. We also partner with other labs for just formulation with no production.

    We are part of a business incubator program and can even assist with marketing, drop shipping and more services to help them make their manufacturing dream a reality. It is the perfect place for someone who has outgrown their kitchen “laboratory” and can no longer keep up with production themselves as they start to grow.

    @emily.flemer , no offence but it’s getting annoying finding your post under almost every thread.

    @emily.flemer:

    AnnaLavar is correct … I know you are new to the forum, but it is intended for participants to provide insightful answers to questions or discuss technical topics, not to promote your business.  So, please refrain from posting as you have above on a few occasions now.

    If you see a post where you think your company’s services could benefit the client, send the poster a Private Message.  That is the proper protocol.  Let’s keep the discussion areas for technical contributions and to provide professional advice, not advertising.

    @emily.flemer ;

    Mark Broussard and Anna Lavar are correct.  Most contributing members here could post an ad in many ways similar to yours on most of the threads. But, we don’t do that.  It’s rude and tiresome.  There’s a name for it. It’s called spamming.

     If you wish to participate, show your expertise by answering questions.  There is a special thread which stays at the top where you can post your company blurb.  If people see how informed you are by your contributions in the discussion threads they will be inclined to check out your info up above.  Otherwise you are just spamming.

    As this discussion already seems to have been hijacked by emily.flemer and being relatively new to the site, could anyone tell me if Debut Development, LLC are in fact unique in supplying small production runs either in the US or Europe? I would be interested to know of some other companies that offer such a service or if there is an opportunity here.

    Happy if someone could answer that for me before getting back to the original discussion around bee cosmetics from Andis.

    @Pete:

    I would suggest you post a new Discussion Thread:  Does anyone know contract manufacturers who offer small production runs of X to Y units per run?  And send emily.spammer a PM inquiring about their services.
