  • bamboo extract and behentrimonium sulfate in rinse out conditioners/shampoo?

Is bamboo biofermment, bamboo extract good to use in rinse out products. And also is it suitible for low porosity hair? Low porosity hair isnt really a huge fan of silicones and things that layer on the hair. But im looking to get some slip in the shampoo (not made yet, still looking for ingridients). So im just wondering if it has any good benefits when it comes to slip and is it to much for low porsity hair. And is behentrimonium sulfate good to use in rinse out conditioners for low porosity hair?

Is there a study that suggests that silicones are not good for low porosity hair? Would be interested to read it.

IMHO most plant extracts (except oils) are purely claim ingredients in rinse out formulations (and probably in the majority of all other cosmetic products too) and I never understood why bamboo should be in a haircare product other than reminding people of springy healthy green sticks swinging happily in the wind without breaking like the wonderful long hair you’re dreaming of having one day. And that awful perfume they always add to those products which is supposed to smell of “bamboo” (like “alp freshness” or “sea-breeze” perfumes can only smell of mountains or the beach to people who’ve never been there).

Ive read allot about porositys and looked at different oppinions on it online. And it doesnt seem like low porosity likes silicones and things that leaves a film on the hair since the hairs cuticle is already difficult to penetrait due to the “tight” cuticle and the hair is also prone to build up because the hair doenst like to let product in . So adding an other layer on top of the hair will make it even harder to get moisture in to the hair and it can eventually leav the hair dry if you dont get enough moisture in it.
