    Hi all,

I’ve been (attempting to) research baked makeup for quite a while. I’ve searched every possible Google query I could think of, I asked around and I went to the library. Just want you to know this isn’t a UTFSE thing.

I thought it’d be discussed more online, but I can’t find anything! If you have additional resources (online or print), I’d very much appreciate those, but unfortunately I don’t have money to get some of the textbook- like publications I’ve seen for sale. Perhaps this is my roadblock.

What I have so far is that most baked makeup includes an emulsifier or a polymer. I don’t have an example off the top of my head, but I swear I’ve even seen formulations with neither - just a ‘standard’ eyeshadow formula without either the emulsifier or polymer.

So how do they do it? The more information, the merrier. Thanks for your time.
