  • ALES breakdown in ph ≤5 and temperature above 40°c

    I wanted to purchase ammonium laureth sulfate to use instead of SLES. The supplier said in temperature above 40°c and pH ≤5 ALES will breakdown so avoid it.
    Is this true for ALES?

    Crazy. ALS won’t do that. In fact you need to keep pH less than or equal to 6.5 or yes, ammonia will be released.

    @Belassi thanks.
    That is good news because we work at pH 5
