Alcoholic tinctures in formulations and blender
Hi, I have a question about oil/beeswax based ointments and the possibility to add alcoholic herbal tincture to it (60% alcool). I’ve done it for my private use adding a 3% tincture to an oil/beeswax ointment, never used a blender and the formulation never split.
I’d like to make it again for professional use and my questions are:
- in which percentage the alcool tincture becomes too harsh and drying for the skin of the face?
- if I add a 2% alcoholic tincture, would I need a blender to make a proper emulsion?
I will produce on a very small scale, which blender would you recommend if you think I’ll need it?Thank you!
