    As a general rule, what should be the range of active surfactant percentage in Shampoo? 
    Some books say %10 and maximum %15 active and some say %20-%40 active active surfactant in Shampoo. That is double the amount which means extra cost.

    For my shampoos, I use 10%-15% asm.

    Yes, 10 - 15% active should be plenty. But it depends on the surfactant you use too.

    Yes we used SLS at %12 and it was ok but now we use nonionic APGs at %15 still it fells the cleaning power is not good enough. 

    How much ASM for APGs or can i find a comparison of cleaning powder for different surfactants?
