    Good evening all,

I have been making various water based pomades since around 2021, and am seeking some clarification on a couple of question, and would be most appreciative of your help.

I recently started to make a new water based pomades, and have been experimenting with my ratio of C-25, as when I scooped, the pomade wanted to stay together like a long string. But not the type of stringiness you would see from the polymers. I currently have been experimenting between 18-26% c-25 with my water sitting between 52-57%. What differences are noticed when lowering and adding the C-25?

Furthermore, I have a magnetic lab mixer I use to mix the water phase, which heats it to the correct temperature. However, I have had in instances a gel lock when adding O/W and am confused about if it could be the stearic acid that I used in that batch, temperature shock, or too low of C-25. I can provide any other information that will help. And I truly appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks!
