INCI Composition statement help
Hello,
I have an INCI composition statement for a product we currently use as well as some with the same INCI name. all have the INCI PEG-12 Dimethicone. I’m trying to find an alternative for the first photo, that has the composition broken down into three components.
I’m not understanding if the first photo is a mixture of PEG-12 Dimethicone with more PEG and the Allyl alcohol or if those are the components of the PEG-12 itself. Since the other two statements use the same CAS number I’m lead to believe that although the INCI are the same, their compositions are different and they are not good offsets for the current product.
My main concern is finding out if these three are the same mixture although the composition statements are different or if I should keep looking for an alternative. This is for a hair gel.

I believe the first picture shows you the composition of the material. 70% or more of the PEG-Dimethicone and then the 30% is made up of those residual materials. This is the same as the 3rd ingredient. The second ingredient (100% PEG-Dimethicone) may be the same thing too. I don’t know the manufacturing procedure to make it.
However, these ingredients come from different suppliers so even though they might have the same name they will not necessarily work the same in your formula. You have to conduct a stability test and performance test to ensure they can be swapped out.
