Hope all of you are doing well, we have made a batch of baby oil containing paraffin oil, vitamin E and parfum oil, after 3 months the color the product changes from clear, colorless to orange/brownish, also there were some suspended particles in oil, upon checking peroxide and acid value found to be ok, but not know the reason of color changes yet. Any one know the reason and solution of it. I will be very thankful

Listing the %s would be quite useful.

My bet is on the “parfum oil”. Have you used before in the same formula and had no issues?

Also “vitamin E” is a broad description of what you’ve used. Depending on other factors, it can undergo oxidation, which may further contribute to color changes.

It is 99.7% of paraffin oil and 0.2% vitamin E as an anti-oxidant and 0.1% of parfume oil.

If “vitamin E” is a tocopherol mix, and it’s in there to prevent the oxidation of the fragrance, you have A LOT in there- that can accelerate the oxidation process.
