Chinese grotesque sunscreen. Popular as ‘ell amongst the unlearned. Regulated?
Those with a weak stomach, consider not reading further.
So, there is a popular (and I don’t use that word lightly) online hideous sunscreen that will make even the best of us projectile vomit by reading the LOI. They present as an American company, but the product…if you examine it….is made in China. It has the most nauseous LOI I have ever seen in all my years…. First ingredient is ground up dead animals! It doesn’t get any better. Consumer is advised to shake well before using….I assume because it separates…and the non-nano zinc probably all goes to the bottom of the container. It is a water-based product, with the single attempt at preservation being a splash of fermented Korean food.
This product is gaining a massive following amongst the incompetent….they are eating it up like hungry dung beetles. The latest marketing position they have taken is…. NOT F’ing kidding…. “Of course our product molds….and that is good…. it means it is natural”. Seriously…the company is presenting this as a selling tool!!! I know about 97% of you are about to tune me out…saying NO WAY…will a company promote the fact that their product made from animal by-products molded….so I attached proof….this is actually happening.
Questions:
1) They do not sell in stores… (that I am aware of)… does this legally give some kind of ‘Free-pass’ from all regulations?
2) Are foreign made products that purport to be a sunscreen…. EXEMPT from regulations that would apply to domestically made sunscreen? They without a shadow of a doubt….claim to be a sunscreen and state an SPF.
With the popularity of this product amongst the uneducated….why has there been NO FDA activity? Someone is gonna die!
Aloha
