  • SLS vs LABSA sensitivity to water hardness?

<div>Which surfactant is more sensitive to hard water? SLS or LABSA</div>

And what is the side effect of hard water? Reduced foam and cleaning or precipitation?

Water is very hard well water

Some sources say SLS and some say LABSA is more sensitive to hard water.

As far as my knowledge goes, both of them don’t “like” hard water, and both of them are associated with high levels of deposition when hard water is used.

    Maybe this can help

This supplier said LABSA is more sensitive to hard water than SLS but another supplier like Stepan says SLS is more sensitive to hard water than LABSA

I’d say LABSA since it has more charge density and less water solubility.
