  Quick Hacks to Decrease the Tack?!

  Any quick thoughts for decreasing the tack on a formula? Specifically, high load of glycerin? Thanks!!!

  Easiest way is to reduce tacky inputs. If you are dealing with G… then see if you can sub some of it for 1,3 propanediol, or butylene glycol.

  Otherwise, your other option is to ‘out slippery’ the sticky. Use emollients/esters at such propensity, the slippery aspect prevails.

  what kind of formulation is this- where is it intended to be applied? do you have any limitations on product appearance such as clarity, or avoiding certain ingredients for claims positioning?

  Thanks! Serum application and the previous formulator threw in quite a bit of glycerin and I am trying to mitigate 🙂 Thanks!
