I’ve read that saturated oils are heat insensitive to some degree. More the C-C double, more the heat sensitivity.

I have one ingredient — Isoamyl Laurate. From the chemical structure I have seen online, it seems to be heat insensitive.

Now my question is that if I want to thicken my oil a bit using cetyl alcohol which is waxy, can I melt it with isoamyl laurate and then after complete melting and subsequent cooling add the other heat sensitive oils like plant oils , light esters etc…? will the Cetyl alcohol also be able to thicken the oils added after cooling?

It may be simpler if you research the degradation point of each oil/ester and melting point of waxes or others (cetearyl alcohol 50-60°) 🙂
