Hello! I am new in formulating with Ethyl vanillin and I have some issues with it. I would like to apply it in a liquid anhidrus formulation but it is insoluble in it. I am trying to heat the oils with Ethyl vanillin to melt it and this works. However, when I cold it down, the aroma is like there was nothing there… I am appling it at 0,2%. When I use it with lipsticks there’s no problem…. Anyone can help with it? Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello, since you’re currently using Ethyl vanillin at 0.2%, you could try increasing the concentration to see if it improves the aroma retention. You can gradually increase the concentration while monitoring the scent until you achieve the desired intensity.

You might be experiencing heat stability issues. Do you need yo heat? Maybe you can try premixing the ingredient with an ingredient that makes it more soluble.
