Vit E cream discoloration issue
Hi all. Need help on Vit E discolorations issue. I have one formulation with higher percentage of Vit E, for 3,000IU in total. However, turn to yellow in actual product. Stability not become as yellow as in market product.
I suspcet, UV exposure. Any idea to improve further?

What other ingredients do you have? If you don’t mind using something like Tinogard TL, it might help stabilize your vit e towards UV.

I have 5% sunflower oil in formulation. However, during troubleshoot by removing sunflower oil also bulk turn to be yellow. I have BHT and Ethyhexyl Methoxycinnamate inside. Will try add in Tonogard TL later to see

Not only UV light but also visible light can have an effect. Therefore, I think it is necessary to shade the product.
And is there anything that uses antioxidants? Since Vitamin E is itself an antioxidant, I am curious as to whether antioxidants such as BHT or BHA were used to use it as the main ingredient.-
i have 0.10% BHT and 2% Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate to protect the product itself. But, i think these two not really working.
Is there any possibility that oxygen penetration during the process accelerate the yellowish?

Assuming that the product is sealed well from air, light have had main reason.
Also, tocopherol acetate has a lighter color, so it would be a good choice, if u could use it.
