I am trying to solve a problem with “Clouds” on the surface of a lipstick formula after being flamed that appear after about 24 hours. It is not Bloom or crystallization. The surface appearance just isn’t uniform. The best way to describe is like clouds in a sky. It is a basic formula that consists of Castor Oil, Candelilla, Carnauba, Ozokerite, Ceresin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Octyldodecanol, and Vit E…..plus pigments…. I tried adding Softisan 649 to try to get an even glossy texture but within the clouds it appears a dull, almost shineless surface…A 14.20% wax ratio to 74.00% Oils…Any thoughts, guidance or insight ?
