  Piroctone olamine forms a complex with iron ion

  Hello everyone.

  I know that Piroctone olamine forms a yellow complex with iron ion and usual complexing agents cannot prevent this interaction.

  But I don’t know if this interaction can reduce the efficacy of Piroctone olamine. Could anyone here provide some information about it?

  Like ZPT, that’s the basis for its efficacy. Yes, Fe saturated will screw it up. Why would you consider this?
