Shampoo formulation & manufacturing techniques
Hi I need help, I’m a beginner in formulation, here is the shampoo formula (oil/water) I’m trying to make, *attached.
The problem is that the results of the shampoo seem to be less homogeneous & evenly dispersed, there are still gel grains that won’t dissolve (my guess is that it’s in the Na-CMC (which doesn’t expand enough) / SLS (less soluble), because the water to treat both is limited). And the phase (oil-water-thickener) separated after leaving it for 1 night.
Is there any corrections to the formulation or input on special methods regarding mixing the ingredients? I lack reading sources regarding the technicalities of combining these ingredients.
*notes :
- CDEA & APG surfactants are part of the comparison in the formulation.
- The problematic formulation results are the CDEA variations which experience separation/are not evenly dispersed. The results formula with CDEA are not as thick as the formula with APG.
Sorry for my bad english grammar…
