About jessner and modified jessner peel
Posted by Abdullah on July 11, 2023 at 5:30 amHow long should Modified Jessner peel stay on skin and then be rinsed? I got 1-2 minutes, 4-5 minutes and more than 4 hours results from Google search.
And how often should we use it? Again i got 3 results from Google search. Once a week, once every 10-14 Days and once a month.

What about 30% lactic acid at pH 2?
Is it also considered drug is it is cosmetic?

Typically about 20 minutes before neutralization. Once a month to 6 weeks.
-
Most providers just leave it on. It’s fresh for a few minutes. And yes every 4 to 6 weeks.
-
If you just leave it on, doesn’t it cause too much salicylic acid absorption?
-
It neutralizes pretty fast. They may even start to see salt fro sal acid on skin. I’ve read sal acid will neutralize in about 2 minutes on skin. It’s very common to just leave it on. Some peeling may occur about 3-5 days after

That is very interesting. In that case using salicylic acid may not have any advantage over sodium salicylate because of that two minutes window.
Can you share the data where have you read that?

Sorry I have no idea where I read that. I worked with peels a lot in a past life and that is still ringing around in my head. But chemical peels do not sizzle away forever.
