  Allantoin Benefits

  Are there any actual benefits to using allantoin in a formulation or is it merely a claims ingredient? Of course there are “studies” that can prove practically anything, but is it known among cosmetic chemists to provide any tangible benefit?

  Not a cosmetic chemist, but i was curious about its effects since i had it for some time, so i tested it at 0.1%, i find that it provides a soothing and slight exfoliating effect.
