  • Best pH for viscosity SLS + CAPB?

    Hello,

I am trying to achive the best viscosity with the lowest input of SLS and CAPB?

Best pH would be about 5,5?

I have noticed I can thicken the formulation by just simply adding more salt or for example sodium sulphate (up to 5-8% if SLS and CAPB input are low).

Do you have other suggestions what other ingredient I could add to boost the viscosity? All the natural gums unfortunately limit the foam 🙁

    Thank you!

    Increase CAPB

THe point is to use as little CAPB as possible in this formulation. Thank you!

Ditto for me @Abdullah, if the solids ratio is closer to 1:1 SLS:CAPB you likely won’t even need the salt. A little alkanolamide builder wouldn’t hurt either.

Even if the input of CAPB and SLS would be rather small? Like 1% SLS and 1% CAPB?

At 1:1 ratio viscosity is on top as @chemicalmatt said. In my 3% of each surfactant will give you enough viscosity without any extra salt.
