  • Thickening Solvent based formula

    Not exactly cosmetic based so I hope this is ok to ask.
    Looking to thicken to a solvent based formula to a syrup consistency in order to have this cling and coat to the surface it is applied to.
    For confidential reasons I can’t give exact % of formulation but ranges are below.

    Thanks for any help

    Water                  55% to 65%
    Glycol Ether EB    10% to 15%
    D-Limonene         8% to 13%
    Sodium                 2%
    xylenesulfonate
    Nonoxynol 9         5% to 8.5%

    Seems like degreaser or heavy duty cleaner, increase your sodium xylene sulphonate or addition Labs, if you don’t want, just use CMC ( carboxymethyl cellulose as thickener)
