  • Clear sunscreen gel?

I’ve tried many sunscreens before and all of them are white lotion or gel, or tinted sunscreen. But I have never seen a completely clear gel sunscreen. I’m just wondering, is it possible to make a clear sunscreen gel? Like a gel serum..

There are products in Australia (and assume elsewhere) that have Sunscreen Gels like  Sunsense Clear Gel spf 50 Sunscreen 125Ml Online at Chemist Warehouse® - As for making one that is another matter and I wouldnt attempt to and very hard to determine the SPF for home formulators.

I’ve created several. If you look at some prototypes in the market, I think you will see that the majority avoid “mineral” sunscreens (ZnO, TiO2) and use a “chemical” sunscreen OR a combination of both.

Absolutely possible. They mainly use the more traditional (or chemical) sunscreen actives, like Octinoxate, Homosalate, etc. They are my preferred formulas.

@raiyana just don’t reproduce that Ashland formula Mark shared for sale in the USA. BEMT is not allowed here.
