  Glide for natural Lipstick. HELP

  I have a lipstick formula that I’m stuck on.
  I’m trying to make it as natural as possible and fragrance free.

  Its made up of:
  Castor oil
  Mango butter
  Coconut oil
  Avocado butter
  Carnauba Wax
  Ricebran wax
  Sunflower lecithin 

  I’m really struggling with the glide of my lipstick. The sunflower lecithin creates a slight creamy texture to the product, but i need something that makes the lipstick glide more across the skin and not feel so gritty on.
  As for how its made,
  Its all melted together and left to set in a mould for about 2 hours. It moulds perfectly but just doesn’t glide well on the lips.

  Not surprising…as you don’t have any slippery ingredients.  Take a look at these three formulas…and see if you can find the missing link.  

  
  
  

  Good luck.  Should be an ultra easy fix.

  You will probably have it on hand…but CCT and lauryl laurate, and Isoamyl laurate, will quickly fix things.  But as you can see….you will have to use a fair amount of it.  (Same as any other cosmetic.)

  If you are looking at naturally derived chemicals, Try Lanolin. Its not vegan but its an excellent emollient. 2-4% should be adequate.
