  Thoughts on Hexamidine Diisethionate as a preservative?

  Is Hexamidine Diisethionate an effective preservative (for a cosmetic cream for example)? Does it need to be used with other preservatives for broad spectrum preservation?

  Are there any downsides to using it… apart from the high cost?

  Appreciate any opinions! Thank you.

  No.  Recall it’s not that effective in product.
