Hi friends EGDS is not available more
Hi could we use other ingredients instead of EGDS in shampoo for opacity and paralyzing agent i have gms se 40. Cetyl alcohol.cetostery alcohol . And final 1.25% sodium benzoate for preservative.

EGMS is also used for pearlizing, you may be able to get opacity from the fatty alcohols you have currently but not pearl.

Wonder at Na benzoate by itself as adequate preservative for a shampoo.

PhilGeis i am making shampoo in egds with sodium benzoate as a preservative till give a good result but not has experience with gms. Cetyl or cetosteryl alcohol i also use these three ingredients in anti mosquitoes lotion nothing happened bad yet but in shampoo SLES a high biodegrable and also shampoo formulation has water.

Benzoate by itself is not a good preservative - esp. in a shampoo.

PhilGeis i used formline 0.25% it was not best result sometimes damaging shampoo and worst smell and formline also effect and reduce perfume

Na benzoate is not enough. You could add chloromethylisothiazolinone as do many of the major marketers.
