15% Azelaic serum
Hello chemist , I am trying to make an acne control and hyperpigmentation removal serum . Below is my formular , is it good ?
Distilled water
propylene glycol 15%
Azelaic acid 15%Aloe Vera juice
hyaluronic acid
niacinamide 5%
glycerine
Xanthan gum
licorice extract
liquid germall -

Did you try to make/use it?There’s a good discussion about said topic here somewhere. Keep in mind that you can’t dissolve 15% azelaic acid without turning it into an effectless salt. -
@Pharma i am trying to make it , and concerning the azelaic acid , I am going to dissolve it with the propylene glycol

azelaic acid is not very soluble in anything - your best bet is to make the product an O/W emulsion with a very polar oil (e.g. a salicylate ester) as the oil phase
