  • Using isododecane with essential oils as a solvent

Hello! I am trying to make an essential oil blend for my diffuser (HVAC system) and have had isododecane recommended as a suitable solvent and substitute to water. Would this be safe to add for diffusing with children and pets? And are there any other safe alternatives that can be recommended?

    Thanks in advance
    Eli

Isododecane is likely safer than the essential oils you’re going to diffuse with it ;) .
Isododecane is completely inert (it doesn’t do anything, doesn’t react with anything, and leaves your body unchanged), think volatile vaseline but biodegradable.
