  • Clay Mask - Getting the right texture

    Dear Chemists,
I am following a formula that has 6% kaolin clay in it with emulsifiers cetearyl alcohol and stearic acid. But when I make the emulsified clay mask, it’s like a cream. I see MANY clay masks like normal face cream, It does not have the actual clay mask texture. My question is what is the maximum level of clay percentage one can go upto? I am using a broad spectrum preservative as well. Please help.
