Let’s share what product/compounds/components you really enjoy to use although you know they don’t work/green washing/just marketing stuff.
I’ll go first - I really love to use skincare with green tea or aloe extracts. Although I know that amount of extracts is too small to be significant, it still makes me perceive the product as “naturally pleasant” and gives more joy of using it.

I’ve always been a fan of jojoba oil and henna.
And I really want to like Tea Tree oil but it’s hard to get over that odor.

Maybe I hang with Pharma too much, but for me… Myrrh in everything, and Frankincense in most everything (NOT essential oils).  Myrrh even snuck into my latest deo product.  I make these extracts/oleoresins myself (per some Swiss guidance), to unsure efficacy and quality.  Bisabolol also in everything (including the deo).

@Perry what were you using henna for?

I also like jojoba oil. I know it works but i don’t use it because of high price.

@Graillotion why do you like myrrh and frankincense for?

I like Jojoba oil in lip balm and lotion. I love rose geranium EO in wash products.

@Abdullah - Henna as an additive for shampoo. Maybe I just liked the fragrance we used.

My recent fave is marshmallow root. I make 5% water infusion of it and make shampoo and conditioners with it. Lovely effect on hair.

It will help for the acne as well? I have some huge problems with it.

For me Sepilift DPHP, Softisan 378 (I know petrolatum is better) and especially softisan 649. The first one is wishful thinking, the last two can be replaced by much cheaper conventional ingredients. But I still love them :)

I’m with @Mondonna on the mallow root extract in hair-care. I was skeptical when a client insisted on  it, then tried it myself and said to self “why I’ll be, this is like a natural answer to behenyl quats, my hair is soft as silk.” Also algae does even better! After taking a late summer swim in Lake Michigan (algae is highest then) my hair is softer than it is all year. Now, how to extract that and sell it ???

Don’t. Just use it instead of water! That water… errr… can it even be called water? is dangerously high in sunscreens and hormones. And then claim that your brand is recycling sun creams and helps against hair loss (thanks to the birth control pills) !

Can’t really call it ”water”, but I see where are you going with it.

@Pharma  funny! I can read the advert now: ” from the ancient waters of Lake Michigan where Potawatomi natives swam and frolicked with pristine sturgeons..”.

Didn’t know that it’s also used for hair’s coloration.
