SB 312-Cosmetic Fragrance and Flavor Ingredient Right to Know Act of 2020.

Anything special I need to know when reporting information for this?  I assuming essential oils and other fragrance oils apart of this?

Did you found the list of fragrance chemicals that need to be reported?

SB 312 refers to Annex III of the EU Cosmetics Regulation No. 1223/2009, so it stands to reason that declarations found on-pack for products sold in CA require the list of 26 quantified and declared at concentrations > 100ppm when present. Good times.

    Good luck - > 20 “Designated lists”  and > 3000 ingredients.
    Lists linked at  https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CCDPHP/DEODC/OHB/CSCP/Pages/SB312.aspx#
Prob concern would be fragrance allergens of EU directive.

Most EO I use are labeled prop65, this is also a liability.

While SB 312 does not ban any chemicals for which reporting is required, the law creates an incentive to reformulate because citizen enforcers under Proposition 65 (The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) and personal injury plaintiffs can review the DPH website for litigation targets.

    Thank you everybody thus far…

I am still confused at to how am I suppose to report this….
So do get hplc statements from my suppliers (essential oils/fragrances) proving that items listed are below <100 ppm if they appear?

Is this a simple form stating this? Has anybody done this yet?

@ Stanley, after perusing through the links Phil Geis generously provided. It appears that only companies generating over $1,000,000 in sales annually have to report. If your company is large they have more links and info on how to report on the link below.
