    need for your advices for the percentage of the carbopol 940 and glycerin in a sanitizer gel hydro alcoholic

    70% OF ETHANOL 96°
    0,5% OF GLYCERIN 
    0,5% OF CARBOPOL 940
    0,2% OF TEA 
    and 28,3 % OF WATER  
     WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS FORMULA,??

    i think the function of glycerin in your formula just for humectant, usually people use 3.0%. the percentage of TEA is more important and it’s depend of carbopol content. so, you must determine how thicken your sanitizer. i prefer use carbopol in 0.3-0.6% and find the best percentage of TEA.

    @karima The amount of Glycerin is fine (higher amounts can impair alcohol potency). For finding out the amount of TEA, you can check this guide from Lubrizol: https://www.lubrizol.com/-/media/Lubrizol/Health/TDS/TDS-237_Neutralizing_Carbopol_Pemulen_in_Aqueous_Hydroalcoholic_Systems-PH.pdf

    If using standard TEA 85%, then use 1.4 : 1.0 carbomer, but since you asked what I really think then save yourself a lot of money and time by DELETING the TEA and Carbopol 940 altogether and switch to Rapidgel EZ1 from 3V Sigma.
