    Dear all,

We produce a hard household soap (72% FM, pH: max11 (10% solution)).
In some batches of soap wrapped with film, we have observed black spots on the surface.
The source of the black spots was confirmed to be microbiological contamination.
What can be the causes of this contamination?
    your help please

What is the formula?  Soap can be contaminated - but it is rarely seen.
More commonly seen is wrapper (mold) contamination that also soils soap bar surface.  Wrappers of major soap brands typically includes a preservative.
