  • Which of these two Amodimethicone emulsion is better for hair conditioning?

I want to use Amodimethicone emulsion in shampoo instead of PQ10 for conditioning purpose. There are two versions.

Which one is better for conditioning if used in same amount of active Amodimethicone?

    a) Amodimethicone (and) Cetrimonium Chloride (and) Trideceth-12
    - Silicone content %30
    - Internal phase viscosity cps (25℃)

    100,000
    - Average particle size(μm)0.35
    - pH 4.5-6.5

    b) Amodimethicone and Trideceth-12
    - Effective content %50
    Inner phase viscosity cps (25℃)30,000
    - pH 5-7

It seems Option B has more silicone, but still got to look at MSDS. On the other hand,  I have used option A at 2% in a styling mousse. it has a better pH range (slightly more acidic) and you get to list extra ingredient.

@Abdullah you want to use (b) as you don’t need the CETAC in a shampoo formulation, it may even be detrimental, plus more amodimethicone activity.

@chemicalmatt @singhc10 yes (b) has more active but it is a bit more expensive too. So If used for the same active level the price would be almost the same.
Final pH would be adjusted to 5.

    The ingredients in (a) are
    Amodimethicone   %28-36
    Trideceth-12   %1-3
    Cetrimonium Chloride   %1-3
    Water   %50-65

I have seen the same product in Phique Shampoo Shampoo that i think is from @Perry.
Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Lauryl Glucoside, Stearyl Citrate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Polyquaternium-10, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Trideceth-12, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide.

My main main question is about the viscosity of Amodimethicone itself. One is 30000 and other is 100000 cps.
Wich viscosity would be better for conditioning or there is no difference in performance?
