Creamy clay issue
I am currently working on a hair styling creamy clay and i am very happy with the results but there is one problem. When you use this kind of product you need to spread it on both palms and then apply to hair. If your palms’ skin is properly hydrated then this “spreading” part goes without any issues but if your skin is dry then after some time the product dries and kind of lumps start to form and it is not possible to use it. There is no phase separation - it is like water phase evaporates or soaks into the epidermis. It is not a huge problem as it has creamy texture and spreading takes seconds and also there is no need for heating/melting the product like with hair waxes but still I would like to make this clay bulletproof. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Like adding different/more emulsifier (i was thinking sucrose esters or rising GMS) or maybe adding more glycerin (now 0,5%) or increase water phase a little bit?Ingriedients: water, kaolin clay, olivem 1000, beeswax, candelilla, castor oil, sweet almond oil, lanolin, cetyl alcohol, GMS, perservative, fragrance, glycerin, xanthan gum.Any advice on that?
