    Cyclomethicone is volatile, will it be feasible in products that are not in any kind of packaging, or will it evaporate?

    The heat of vaporization of Cyclomethicone is ~ 172 kJ/kg
    For comparison, the heat of vaporization of Water is ~ 2257 kJ/kg
    So, at a given temperature, pressure & humidity level, cyclomethicone will evaporate faster than water.

    Yes they will.   My former employer recieved inquiries from the US Navy re. condensation of silicones on interior submarine surfaces.  Traced to submariners’ use of antiperpsirant including siloxanes.

    @Perry , @PhilGeis Thank you.
    So it will be absolutely useless in shampoo and conditioner bars, as they stored open, right?
