  Salicylic acid vs sodium salicylate

  Does sodium salicylate has the same anti acne and exfoliating effect as salicylic acid in lotion both at pH 5?

  Do you already know the answer about this? I also want to know, because I also tried dissolving SA in water with the help of sodium citrate. Does it become sodium salicylate too?
