Hi, I’m formulating for a client that wants a 100% natural emulsion, again struggling with preservation issues! I know Leucidal can preserve against some bacteria but what about molds? What can I use to preserve against molds 100% natural? Any suggestion? Thanks!

That depends on what they consider 100% natural. What standards are you following?  Also, what emulsifier are you using that is 100% natural?  Lecithin?

AMT (the producer of leucidal) recommends a combination with their fungicidal AMTicide Coconut, you can buy a combined product which is called Leucidal SF Complete.

I know “natural” is a tricky and gray zone, but I have to go as close as possible! My client accepted Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate as an emulsifier but not Dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol as a preservative, that’s why I’m looking for other alternatives.
Thanks @Agate, I will check that!

Does anyone have experience with sodium levulinate+sodium anisate?
